The Beginning

In 2024, after watching too many friends and family lose money to commission-driven mutual fund pushes, endowment plans dressed up as savings, and WhatsApp tips with no source — we decided Indian retail investors deserved better.

The information existed. NSE and BSE filings are public. SEBI rules are clear. Quality research from institutions is detailed. But for the average retail investor in Pune, Patna, or Pondicherry — none of it was accessible, readable, or honest.

So we built Chartchintan. The name says it all — chart + chintan, "thought" in Hindi. Not just data. Not just signals. Thoughtful, independent research that respects the reader's time and intelligence.
